Petersburg City Public Schools has announced that maks will still be a requirement in order to enter a building, in light of Governer Glenn Youngkin's executive order allowing parents to opt out of having their children wear masks.
"The health and safety of everyone in our buildings remain a top priority," an official said.
As information is shared from the Virginia Department of Education, the administration will determine the next steps.
