PETERSBURG – Happy Trees Agricultural Supply has converted its Petersburg storefront into a full-time event space. Workshops, giveaways, and festivals will take place in the venue located at 100 N. Sycamore Street.

Happy Trees which specializes in selling products specifically geared towards growing cannabis opened its third location downtown on Aug. 2 this year.

Growing supplies are no longer available for purchase on-site at the Petersburg location, but event space is available for public rental.

You are invited to attend the following events hosted by Happy Trees Community Outreach Center in Petersburg:

• Movies & Munchies on Tuesday, Dec. 21

• Puff & Paint - event for people to enjoy cannabis while exploring artistic creativity on Monday, Dec. 27

• Video Game Champion Night on Wednesday, Dec. 29

• Sunday Service - a weekly Sunday get-together for those interested in learning and sharing knowledge about growing cannabis.

• Tuesday Trades - A time for growers to get together to swap and share their products with other enthusiasts.

At Movies and Munchies from 6 - 9:00 p.m., watch "Half Baked", enjoy snacks [sour cream and onion chips, peanut butter, pizza, ice cream] and cannabis in all its forms, and legally share/trade flowers, seeds, and clones.

Entry fee includes munchies with advance tickets for purchase by calling the Happy Trees RVA store at (804) 471-9002.

Attendees must be 21+ years in age. IDs must be presented at the door for entry, and no illegal sales are permitted.

Santa will be giving seeds away [must be 21+ years of age with an in-state ID] at the Happy Trees RVA location at 1020 N. Arthur Ashe Boulevard on Wednesday, Dec. 22 at 10 a.m. while supplies last.

Grab a free adult-shared seed pack [one per customer] courtesy of Jolly Pond Farm handed out by volunteers. While you’re there, have your photo taken with Santa Chris.

Patrons may still purchase growing supplies at the chain’s Richmond and Fredericksburg locations. Products can be delivered to the Petersburg location if arrangements are made at the time of purchase.

Cofounders Josiah Ickes and Christopher Haynie opened the doors with years of experience cultivating different vegetables and plants.
