PETS R US hosts Betty White celebration

Dec. 30—PETS R US will celebrate Betty White's 101th birthday from 4 until 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17.

PETS R US, located at 700 Water St., was formerly known as the Cass County Humane Society.

Betty White passed away New Year's Eve in 2021 before her 100th birthday. She was known for her love of animals. She supported groups that developed a breakthrough feline leukemia vaccine, the parvovirus vaccine and Potomac horse fever vaccine.

The PETS R US Junior Board will host the celebration. There will be kitty play time and refreshments. The Junior Board's Coloring Contest winner(s) will be also announced that evening.

The event is free, all ages and open to the public. Reservations are required and can be made via phone at 574-516-1526.
