Pets of the Week: Dancing queens — Save the last dance for Morgan and Willemina

Spring is full of many great traditions and rites of passage, but none bring out waves of nostalgia quite like prom. Whether you married your prom date, or ditched him during the after-party at the shore, prom memories are good for decades of laughs and fond remembrances. In fact, there’s been so much prom reminiscing around the Burlington County Animal Shelter, that a few of the pets began daydreaming about their ideal prom experience.

Morgan has no interest in frilly dresses, she’s all about sleek and chic, with her glossy, jet-black coat. Morgan wouldn’t need much makeup, as she already has quite striking features, and her redemption story would likely earn her a nomination for Prom Queen.

Two-year-old Morgan is a sweet, outgoing girl who loves to play and purr. When meeting this effervescent gal, you would never know that Morgan had a very traumatic past. Morgan was thrown from a moving car, where she sustained damage to her face and eye. Luckily, witnesses to the incident rushed to help Morgan and she was taken to a veterinarian for care.

Morgan is all better now, and her unique-looking eye is the only sign of her past. Morgan loves people and is always eager to greet visitors to her abode. She will roll around in her cage for pets and head rubs when her friends stop by, as you can see in Morgan's must-see YouTube video.

She’s very curious and loves to be involved in whatever her human friends are doing. Morgan loves toys, treats, cuddling and being petted and is all about living her best life. Morgan plans to request her favorite song, ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,’ at the prom, and she hopes you’ll be the first one to join her on the dancefloor!

Willemina, on the other hand, wants to go super-glam and girly-girl for her prom. Willemina recently experienced a glow-up after arriving at the shelter underweight and with skin issues. Now, she finally feels pretty, oh so pretty, and can’t wait to show off her new look at prom. Willemina is a friendly girl with an air of mystery surrounding her. She was found as a stray, so not much is known about Willemina’s past, but her future is looking quite bright.

Willemina is the friendliest girl you could hope to meet. She adores people and her tail never stops wagging while she is in the company of her volunteer friends. Want proof? Check out Willemina’s YouTube video (Search Friends of BCAS on YouTube).

During her time at the shelter, Willemina has gained some much-needed weight, her skin issues have cleared, and her coat is now velvety soft. Willemina is a low-key gal who enjoys eating yummy treats, taking walks, and snoozing in the sun. Willemina is looking forward to dancing to Fergie’s hit “Glamorous” at the prom and hitting up the Taco Bell drive-thru afterwards. Want to be her date?
