Pfloating Pumpkin Patch Offers Unique Way To Celebrate Halloween

PFLUGERVILLE, TX —Pflugerville residents delight in the return of one of the community's most unique events held each fall just in time to celebrate Halloween. Pfloating Pumpkin Patch offers a fun afternoon for families including taking a dip in the pool, picking out a pumpkin, and taking it home to decorate it. Attendees will also enjoy a slip-and-slide and pumpkin-themed activities, and fun for all ages.

The event scheduled Saturday, Oct. 10 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. takes place at Gilleland Creek Pool located at 700 Railroad Ave. Admission is $8 per person and includes one pumpkin to take home. Pre-registration is required for the event, and everyone must purchase a ticket even if they will not be swimming.

Capacity for the Pfloating Pumpkin Patch is limited to 40 people per time slot (10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m) and parents are required to be in the water with any child under the age of 5. Note: Gilleland Creek Pool is heated.

For the health and safety of staff, guests and the community, the event will have measures in place to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 including:

  • Hula hoops will be available to select a pumpkin hands-free. One hula hoop per person or family with small children.

  • Masks must be work when entering the facility but may be taken off while actively swimming or using the slip 'n slide.

  • Hand sanitations will be placed throughout the facility.

  • One entrance and exit will be utilized to create one-way traffic flow.
