PGA Tour Championship: Leaderboard, How To Watch, A Rory Repeat?

ATLANTA, GA — The top 30 golfers on the PGA Tour will compete in the Tour Championship over Labor Day weekend at the East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. Many of them remain in contention for the FedEx Cup title, which will be presented after the tournament that marks the end of the PGA Tour's FedEx Cup playoffs.

Fans will not be allowed at the course due to the coronavirus pandemic. The PGA Tour has not had fans at any tournaments since the pandemic started.

The four-day weekend of golf, from Friday, Sept. 4 until the Monday, Sept. 7 Labor Day holiday, comes on the heels of a showdown between the Tour's top two golfers.

John Rahm edged Dustin Johnson by one stroke in a playoff last weekend at the BMW Championship in Olympia Fields, Illinois. Johnson, at -10 in the staggered leaderboard, remains as the Tour leader as Rahm is second with a -8. Johnson and Rahm will be paired together in Friday's opening round.

Justin Thomas, Webb Simpson and Collin Morikawa round out the top five on the current PGA Tour leaderboard.

Rory McIlroy, last year's PGA Tour champion, is tied for 11th, sitting at -3 entering the final weekend. In 2019, McIlroy became the FedEx Cup champion after holding the No. 5 ranking just before the Tour Championship.

Tiger Woods is not in this weekend's field.
