The latest stage of UF Health’s hospital facility on Jacksonville’s Northside is moving forward.

Construction is getting underway on the six-story medical building at 15225 Max Leggett Parkway. Permits were approved in July for Phase III of UF Health North, according to Jacksonville Building Inspection Division documents.

UF Health has already established two medical buildings at the location as part of a total project worth $210 million.

The third phase of the project will add a medical building with 120 beds in 155,300 square feet of space. Construction on the latest medical tower will cost $148 million.
