New Philadelphia honors middle school students
Welty Middle School’s Students of the Month were honored for December. Teachers at each grade level work together to honor students each month and provide comments regarding each student. The following are the comments by teacher teams for each student honored.
6th Grade
Lila Kinkade — Lila is an excellent student who also demonstrates great character. She is a hard worker, participates in class, and comes to class everyday with a positive attitude. Lila is a standout student in the sixth grade.
Nick Riesen— NIck is a great student. He is kind, polite and helpful to everyone. Nick sets a good example to his peers with excellent behavior and great participation during class. Nick stays organized and completes all of his work on time. All of his teachers feel It is a pleasure to have Nick in class.
Lilli Hutchison — Lilli is an absolutely wonderful student! She has a strong work ethic and strives for excellence in everything that she does. She pays close attention to detail and she is very conscientious about her work. Lilli is certainly a leader in the classroom. She demonstrates confidence and she has great communication skills. Lilli is responsible, dependable and respectful. She is a model Welty student!
Cristian Sanchez Ramirez — Cristian has been an absolute pleasure to have in class. He is always smiling and very polite. He gives his best effort in and out of the classroom. Cristian always makes sure that he completes his work on time. He does a wonderful job in making sure he understands the lesson. He is so friendly and willing to help his classmates. Cristian demonstrates the best qualities of a Welty student.
Adelin Heil — Adelin is an excellent student who also demonstrates great character. She is a hard worker, participates in class, and comes to class everyday with a positive attitude. She strives to do her best everyday. Adelin is an excellent role model.
Molly Stephen — Molly is a model student. She consistently works hard in all of her classes and has shown tremendous growth. Molly demonstrates excellent behavior and character. She is a pleasure to have in class.
7th Grade
Elena Yoder — Elena is a model student. We can always count on her to participate in class and lead by example. Her initiative to reach out and help other students demonstrates her compassionate nature. Elena also has tremendous Quaker spirit, and does an excellent job of balancing her academic and athletic commitments.
Olivia Alexander — Olivia is a dedicated, hardworking student who always does her best. Her independent work ethic is commendable. We appreciate her conscientious nature and her positive attitude in class.
Jacob Haren — Jacob has a great attitude and is always giving his best in class. His work is always done well and his behavior is terrific. He is very respectful with teachers and peers.
Ben Haren — Ben is such a wonderful student. He is very conscientious and takes great pride in his work. He shows great respect for not only the teachers, but also his classmates. He is such a great example and role model for his peers.
Alli Leavers — Alli is a highly energetic student who adds both humor and insight to the classroom. She has also been observed taking initiative to help classmates in need. Her efforts both in and out of the classroom are appreciated.
Kaitrin Burnworth — She works hard in class and is very respectful. She is always doing what is expected of her with a great attitude. She always has a smile on her face and gets along with her peers well.
Braylon Walker— Braylon is a hard working student who is always engaged in class. He is consistently helpful to others and goes above and beyond giving extra effort in everything he does. Braylon’s positive attitude is refreshing in our classrooms.
8th Grade
Charlotte Sellman — Charlotte is a very diligent student and is consistently prepared for classes and gives her best effort in what she does. She is kind to others and respectful to students and adults. Charlotte keeps a friendly, positive attitude. He demonstrates readiness, Responsibility, and respect every day.
Alec Adelman — Alec is a pleasure to have in class. Always comes in with a smile on his face. He works hard and is always kind to others. His work is thorough due to the high achievement standards he has set for himself.We appreciate his positive attitude in class.
Kura Arnold — Kura comes to class ready to learn. She is respectful and works well with other students. She stays focused and gives her best effort. She actively participates in class and keeps a great attitude.
Preston Cox — Preston is a very conscientious worker who is wonderful to have in class. He is quiet but always answers questions and goes above and beyond. He is willing to work with others and is responsible and respectful.
