Philadelphia man arrested for January 6 attack

(WHTM) – A Philadelphia man was arrested Thursday on felony and misdemeanor charges related to the January 6 attack at the U.S. Capitol.

The Department of Justice says Kenneth Giusini, 67, was charged with felony obstruction of law enforcement during civil disorder and several misdemeanors including entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly conduct in the Capitol grounds or buildings, and parading, demonstrating or picketing in the Capitol grounds or buildings.

The Justice Department says Giusini shoved an officer and returned to the area after being removed by police. Giusini is also accused of helping to move a metal banister towards officers and entering the Capitol through the north door.

He was identified by investigators by his red hat and clothing on video and pictures, as well as by a witness.

Since January 6 the Justice Department says more than 1,300 people have been charged for the attack.
