- A Philadelphia police officer accused of stealing cash during a drug raid is now charged with lying about it to investigators. Prosecutors say that Michael Kennedy took the money that was sitting on the nightstand. Then he allegedly lied about it to police and the FBI. Kennedy is also accused of obstructing justice by telling another officer to lie about the incident. If he is convicted, he faces 55 years in prison. The police commissioner just suspended Kennedy and does plan to fire him.
