- Well, it is another picture perfect April 9, taking a live look at Ocean City's boardwalk, where people are out enjoying the last few hours of sunshine for the day. This is such a great part of the day. Great weather, unfortunately, is not going to stick around. Meteorologist Kate Bilo is here with a look at when the rain returns. Hi, Kate.

KATE BILO: Hi, Jessica. Yeah, that is a great shot right now of Ocean City, just makes you want to be on the boardwalk enjoying some almost summer-like weather. And it's almost just as nice in the city as well. But like we said, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, unfortunately, this beautiful 70 and sunny stretch we've been enjoying is going to be drawing to a close.

It is going to be in the 70s over the weekend, but we're going to have a lot more clouds and the chance for some showers each day. Right now, we have dropped to about 65 degrees in Philadelphia. It feels like 65 as well. Dewpoints are rising, starting to steam up just a little bit as this next system heads our way.

And you'll notice that over the weekend, it will be warm, but it is going to be a little humid as well. We hit 71 for the high today, about 10 degrees above average, still almost 20 degrees away from that high record, 90 degrees, on today's date in 1929. That was a hot one.

StormScan3 showing the showers starting to creep through portions of Ohio. The heaviest from this particular band is going to lift North and miss us, but we will get the tail end of it through the day tomorrow. You can see a couple of sprinkles firing up here over the Carolinas. That is what we'll see here and there through the day tomorrow.

But this large scale system in the upper levels of the atmosphere, it's very slow moving, and it's going to kind of dictate our weather pattern, unfortunately, for the next several days. Not a washout, in fact, none of the next three days are a washout, but just a few scattered showers and more clouds than we've become accustomed to this week. 49 degrees slowly increasing clouds tonight.

For tomorrow, you can see clouds rolling in the morning, and then scattered showers mainly North and West tomorrow. Can't rule one out elsewhere. But it looks like the best chance for showers will be off to the North and West the Lehigh Valley in the Poconos.

This is 5:00 PM, just a few scattered sprinkles here and there around the city and maybe even down the shore. And that will continue into tomorrow night and Saturday morning. Now, Saturday, same story. It's kind of a cloudy day, but this is 5 or 6 o'clock in the evening. It doesn't look wet.

So if you want to sit outside, enjoy some dining alfresco on Saturday, you should be OK. Sunday may be a little different. We've got one band of heavy showers coming through in the morning, then a dry spell, and then a chance for thunderstorms in the afternoon. So you can see how it's not just a big heavy swath of rain coming through but just scattered chances for showers and thundershowers Friday through the weekend.

So mostly cloudy tomorrow. A few spotty showers, 64, which is a little cooler than it has been. Same story Saturday, mostly cloudy, just the off chance of a shower. Sunday, brings our best chance for rain, again, with some steadier showers in the morning, and then the chance for a thunderstorm in the afternoon.

But it is a mild weekend. We'll stay in the 70s Saturday and Sunday, then we drop back to the mid 60s with clouds breaking for sunshine early next week. You keep [INAUDIBLE]

- All right, Kate. Thank you.
