Get a Phillies beat reporter's live take on the playoff series with the Padres this week

Oct. 17—As the Phillies take on the Padres in the National League Championship Series, Assistant Sports Editor Matthew De George and Phillies beat writer for the Delaware County Daily Times will be in San Diego with pregame, live game and postgame coverage.

Look for the "LIVE: Phillies vs. Padres NLCS Playoff" story online each day this week, with expanded coverage when the series moves to Philadelphia.

First pitches are scheduled for 8:03 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time for Game 1 Tuesday and 4:35 p.m. for Wednesday's Game 2, both at San Diego's Petco Park. The series moves to Philadelphia's Citizens Bank Park for a 7:37 p.m. start for Friday's Game 3 and a 7:45 p.m. start for Saturday's Game 4.

If the series goes beyond that, Game 5 would be Sunday at 2:37 p.m., then it would move back to San Diego for Game 6 (Monday, Oct. 24) and Game 7 (Tuesday, Oct. 25), both scheduled for 8:03 p.m.

The World Series is set to start Oct. 28 at a time and location to be decided.
