Phlebotomist killed at Baltimore methadone clinic identified

Baltimore police released new details Tuesday into the shooting deaths of two men, including a lab technician, and the shooting of a police sergeant at a methadone clinic. City police said officers were called Monday morning to the methadone clinic in the 2100 block of Maryland Avenue, where an exchange of gunfire ensued. Sgt. Bill Shiflett remains hospitalized after he was shot during a shootout with the alleged shooter, who police identified as Ashanti Pinkney, 49. Police said Pinkney wounded Shiflett and killed a lab technician, David Caldwell, 52.
