Phoenix Fan Fusion 2023 bag policy: What you can and can't bring to the comic con

Phoenix Fan Fusion 2023 is right around the corner. The annual pop-culture and cosplay gathering takes place June 2-4 at the Phoenix Convention Center downtown.

Among the celebrity guests expected to take part are William Shatner and Walter Koenig of “Star Trek,” Paul Bettany from “Wandavision” and Kathy Najimy from the witchy “Hocus Pocus.”

Phoenix Fan Fusion bag policy

There are no size limits on bags at Phoenix Fan Fusion, and clear bags are not required, according to Kristin Rowan, director of public relations. Here's what else to know:

  • Oversized rolled suitcases are not allowed.

  • Camera bags and professional cameras are permitted only with a press badge.

  • All bags are subject to search by security.

What's prohibited at Phoenix Fan Fusion

According to Fan Fusion's website, these are among the props and cosplay items that are not permitted:

  • Real and replica firearms.

  • Tasers.

  • Pepper spray and mace.

  • Real, replica and simulated explosives, ammunition or chemical weapons.

  • Metal and wood swords.

  • Sharp-edged weapons.

  • Noisy props.

  • Glass and stone props

  • Wheeled items such as roller skates, rollerblades and skateboards.
