Machine Gun Kelly joins Phoenix Open Birds Nest 2023 concert lineup. How to get tickets

Machine Gun Kelly is the latest headliner to joined the lineup for 2023 Coors Light Birds Nest concert series.

The genre-defiant performer is set to headline Friday, Feb. 10, with a special guest to be announced.

Machine Gun Kelly is the third headliner announced for WM Phoenix Open, the annual golf tournament at TPC Scottsdale.

Jason Aldean will headline Thursday, Feb. 9, with special guest MacKenzie Porter. The Chainsmokers will close the four-night concert series on Saturday, Feb. 11, joined by special guest Gryffin.

Tickets for all three concerts are on sale now at CoorsLightBirdsNest.com. The remaining Coors Light Birds Nest lineup will be announced as more artists are confirmed.

Machine Gun Kelly fresh off arena tour

Machine Gun Kelly is fresh off an arena tour that hit Footprint Center in July.

He's amassed more than 15.5 billion streams and sold more than 10 million album units. "Mainstream Sellout" is his second album to debut at No. 1 in Billboard. His biggest hits include the breakthrough single "Wild Boy," "Bad Things" and "My Ex's Best Friend."

As of 2022, MGK has had a record 45 entries on Billboard's Hot Rock & Alternative Songs, the most of any solo artist.

Jason Aldean a 'top-notch entertainer'

In a press release, tournament chairman Pat Williams said, “Jason Aldean is a top-notch worldwide entertainer known for his electric live performances" and "a great addition to our four-night lineup... sure to put on quite a show."

More on the Chainsmokers and Gryffin

The Chainsmokers spent 12 weeks at the top of Billboard's Hot 100 with 14-times-platinum "Closer," the longest run at No. 1 of any single in 2016.

Their other hits include the multiplatinum smashes “Roses," "Don't Let Me Down" (which won Best Dance Recording at the Grammys), "Paris" and "Something Just Like This."

This is their second time playing the Birds Nest, following what Williams referred to in a press release as "an electric show" in 2019.

Gryffin topped the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart in 2019 with a full-length debut called "Gravity" and has amassed more than 2.5 billion streams on Spotify.

When do Birds Nest doors open?

The Coors Light Birds Nest doors will open at 3:30 p.m. each day with an expanded outdoor patio area featuring more live music, games, entertainment and food and beverage offerings.

The special guest will take the main stage inside the 48,000-square-foot tent at approximately 6:30 p.m. each night, with the headliners going on stage at approximately 8:30 p.m.

Coors Light Birds Nest Chairman Billy Malkovich issued a statement saying, “The atmosphere at the Coors Light Birds Nest, both inside the main concert venue and outside in the expanded patio area, are catered to create the ultimate fan experience with a music festival atmosphere."

How to buy Birds Nest concert tickets

Coors Light Birds Nest general admission tickets for Machine Gun Kelly start at $85, while VIP tickets are available starting at $285.  

Coors Light Birds Nest general admission tickets start at $75 for the Chainsmokers, with VIP tickets starting at $275.

General admission tickets for Aldean start at $90, while daily VIP tickets start at $290.

VIP tickets provide exclusive access to an enhanced area where guests are treated to complimentary food and drinks and access to a premium viewing area for the shows.

Organizers encourage fans to buy their tickets early as ticket prices will increase as the event draws closer.

The 2023 Coors Light Birds Nest has added packages that include admission to all four nights of the concert series. The general admission four-day pass is $330, while the four-day VIP pass is $1,100.

Where is the Coors Light Birds Nest?

The Coors Light Birds Nest is directly across from the main WM Phoenix Open tournament entrance at 82nd Street and Bell Road.

The entertainment venue opens at 3:30 p.m. and closes at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
