Phoenix police department seeks info after Mystery Castle vandalized

Phoenix Police Department says vandals have caused extensive damage at the historic Mystery Castle at the base of South Mountain near Seventh Street and Dobbins Road in Phoenix.

The structure was built in the 1930s by Boyce Luther Gulley and is made of an odd assortment of building materials including recycled car parts, telephone poles, tiles, stones, bricks and various metals.

"Last night, vandals caused extensive damage to a point of pride for the @CityofPhoenixAZ," said Phoenix Police in a tweet Sunday.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
