Phoenix Suns' Devin Booker will be on NBA 2K23 video game cover

Devin Booker will be the face of basketball video gamers next season.

According The Athletic's Shams Charania, the Phoenix Suns' three-time All-Star will grace the cover of NBA 2K23, which the 24th installment of the popular video game series.

The news comes on the first day of free agency Thursday.

Pre-orders for the video game's upcoming version can begin on July 7, and will be officially released on Sept. 9.

In addition to the game's Booker cover, Booker and the Suns reportedly agreed to a four-year, $214 million supermax contract extension. He's expected to sign the new deal next week.

Booker became eligible for the supermax deal after earning All-NBA First Team honors this past season. He's entering the fourth year of his five-year, $158 million rookie max extension deal signed in July 2018, which made him the highest paid Suns players in franchise history.
