Bleacher Report: Suns could look to trade Deandre Ayton

Scott Polacek writes: "The team could even look to move Ayton down the line to bolster the point guard spot. They didn't re-sign him this past offseason until after he agreed to an offer sheet with the Indiana Pacers."

Clutch Points: Suns should now trade for Robert Convington

The site proposes a deal where Phoenix sends Dario Saric, Josh Okogie and a second-round pick for the Los Angeles Clippers player, with Guilherme Hiray Leal writing: "Due to the Durant trade, the Suns do not have much to work with. To make salaries match, Phoenix could send Dario Saric and Josh Okogie to the Clippers. Covington is making $12 million this season while the duo combines for about $11.1 million. Covington would bring the perimeter defense that Bridges had. Additionally, he could play as a small, power forward, and even center. Other than starter Deandre Ayton, the Suns only have Bismack Biyombo and Jock Landale for the position."

The Athletic: Suns interested in trade for Houston Rockets' Eric Gordon

Kelly Iko writes: “This week, the list of teams with serious interest in acquiring the former Sixth Man of the Year has been whittled down to a handful of contenders — including the LA Clippers and Phoenix Suns, adding that the Rockets have “maintained the stance they would be fine holding onto Gordon if the offers were less than desirable…The Rockets won’t move him just for the sake of it.”

Fansided: Suns can't waste golden trade deadline opportunity

Matt Escobar writes: "Mat Ishbia was officially approved as the owner of the Phoenix Suns late Monday night. He takes the reins with a sure-to-be-busy trade deadline rapidly approaching on Thursday. Still, that’s plenty of time for James Jones to work on improving this Suns team, now with no restrictions tied to ownership. The Suns head into this deadline with a bevy of valuable assets. They own all their future first and second-rounders, which is a rarity among contending teams. They also have several players on very valuable contracts to match any salary they bring in."

The Ringer: Don't sleep on the Suns at the NBA trade deadline

Michael Pina writes: "Heading toward the trade deadline, the Suns have no choice but to cross their fingers, upgrade their roster, and hope everyone can stay healthy. Their offense still hums when Booker and Paul share the floor, and there’s reason to believe Phoenix can still come out of the West if the mightiest floor general of his generation has one final ride left."

Shams Charania writes: "The Suns are expected to be incredibly active over the next several days to add to the roster."

Sportsnaut: Suns should trade for Fred VanVleet from Toronto Raptors

Reign Amurao proposed the Suns giving up Chris Paul, Cameron Johnson, Cameron Payne and some picks for the Raptors star, writing: "As the trade deadline is slowly approaching, there have been rumors of the team’s desire to improve its roster for the future. The Suns’ starting point guard, Chris Paul, is 37 years old, and it looks like this is his last productive season. With that, the front office has started to eye Fred VanVleet of the Toronto Raptors as a potential guard for the foreseeable future. But knowing how Masai Ujiri works in getting the best trades for his team, it won’t be an easy trade to seal."

Yahoo Sports: Suns connected to VanVleet, Kyle Lowry, Terry Rozier, D'Angelo Russell

Jake Fischer writes: "Along with VanVleet, Kyle Lowry, Terry Rozier and D’Angelo Russell have all been connected to the Clippers and Suns. Phoenix has gauged the trade market with an eye toward finding ball-handlers who could both relieve Chris Paul during this season’s playoff push and potentially replace him in the future, sources said. Both the Clippers and the Suns held talks with the Nets regarding Irving, sources said."

ESPN: Suns could trade for Knicks' Cam Reddish

Bobby Marks predicted a trade where the Suns sent Jae Crowder to the Knicks for Cam Reddish, Svi Mykhailiuk and a 2027 second-round pick.

Draft Kings: Could Suns land Hawks' John Collins at trade deadline?

Chinmay Vaidya writes: "A more likely scenario for the Suns involves Hawks big man John Collins, who likely could be at a discounted price. He is on a long-term deal though, which seems to be against Phoenix’s philosophy. One advantage the Suns have is a complete arsenal of draft picks, meaning they can offer picks and swaps for most of this decade without many problems."

Fansided: Jordan Clarkson, Gary Trent Jr. trade options for Suns

Karan Jain writes: "In his fifth season, Gary Trent Jr. is turning into one of the best complimentary players in the league, something a contender like the Suns is in need of. Trent Jr. is averaging 18.1 points per game on a 58.2 true shooting percentage and has hit 37.6 percent on 7.2 3-point attempts per game. Trent Jr.’s biggest asset is his shooting, especially off movement. The guard ranks in the 86th percentile in Basketball Index’s perimeter shooting metric. Trent’s ability to hit 40.5 percent of his catch-and-shoot 3s will also bode well alongside playmakers such as Chris Paul, Devin Booker, and an emerging Mikal Bridges."
