Winners and Whiners: Suns will cover vs. Raptors

Chris King writes: "The Raptors have been playing good basketball of late but the fact remains that they are facing a tough team in the Suns, who are tied for the league’s best record. Toronto has won six straight games but dealing with an offensive juggernaut like Phoenix is going to be an uphill climb for them here. On the plus side, the team is fairly healthy but with Barnes and Trent Jr. both questionable here, it could make things a little tougher for them here. Phoenix has been rolling most of the year and aren’t frazzled by playing on the road. Look for Booker and CP3 to come up with the road victory in this contest."

Sports Betting Dime: Raptors will upset Suns

Jon Perrotto writes: "The Suns have won two games in a row against the Raptors after losing six straight. The teams are meeting for the first time this season. The Suns notched 104-100 road win March 26 in the last meeting. Ayton had 19 points and nine rebounds for the Suns and Paul finished with 18 points and eight assists. For the Raptors, Siakam scored 26 points and Van Vleet added 22. The Raptors are playing well and have been especially tough at home. Look for them to make it seven straight wins with a mild upset."

Sports Chat Place: Take the Raptors with the points vs. Suns

Randy Chambers writes: "The Phoenix Suns are one of the more trustworthy teams in the league, both SU and ATS, and you don’t get them at lines this soft often. With that said, getting the Raptors and free points at home feels valuable regardless of the opponent. The Raptors have won six straight games, and they’re winning their last five games by an average of 12.8 points. The Raptors are just too hot to turn down in this spot."

Stat Salt: Go with the Raptors with the points vs. Suns

Jason Raffoul writes: "After a tumultuous start to the season, the Raptors are playing their best basketball a week into the New Year. They have won six consecutive games and are pleasantly surprised with the resurgence of Pascal Siakam after he struggled mightily with his shot earlier in the year coming back from injury. Siakam went 10 for 10 at the free-throw line on Sunday against the Pelicans and finished with seven assists. Toronto is 6-1 ATS in their last seven games, and have won five straight games at Scotiabank Arena. The Suns are coming off a bad loss, so expect them to deliver some punches. Either way, Toronto is playing way too good and it is not a bad idea to ride them on this hot streak. Take the Raptors to win outright and cover."

Picks and Parlays: Suns 117, Raptors 108

It writes: "Toronto G Gary Trent Jr. (ankle) did not play in Sunday’s victory and is listed as questionable for this game. The Suns rank second in the league in defensive efficiency and will be hungry after an ugly loss."

Sports Interaction: Suns 109, Raptors 106

Payton Matthews writes: "The Suns lead all-time 31-18 and are 15-9 as the road team. Toronto has won six of the past 10 in the series even being swept last year but is just 2-8 ATS in those."
