A Phoenix Valley Metro bus crashed into a Glendale home on Tuesday night after it lost control after being struck by another car, according to police.

Officers with Glendale police responded to a home near 63rd and Peoria avenues around 10:30 p.m., where they found a house with "extensive damages" after a Valley Metro bus crashed into the home, according to police.

None of the occupants of the home were injured, police said.

Police said the bus lost control after a red light runner going north on 63rd Avenue collided with the bus, which was going east on Peoria Avenue. The bus was then pushed to the south side of the road, where the affected home was.

Both the driver of the bus and the car that crashed into it were taken to the hospital for precaution.

Authorities said it is unknown whether impairment or speed were factors in the incident. The investigation was ongoing, police said.
