Photo captures suspects in Lorain County gun shop break-ins

LORAIN COUNTY, Ohio (WJW) – The North Ridgeville Police Department has released a photo of the suspects who broke into a gun shop early Wednesday morning.

Officers were called to the scene of Transform and Renew Firearms located on the 34000 block of Center Ridge Road around 4:30 a.m.

At the scene, officers found glass broken out of the front door where the business had been broken in to, according to a Facebook post by police.

According to police, no guns appeared to have been stolen.

It appears this break-in is related to two similar incidents that happened in Lorain County Wednesday morning.

The front doors of two other locations were also smashed around the same time of day.

According to Amherst police, an alarm at 3:59 a.m. on Wednesday notified first responders of a breaking and entering in progress at Amherst Armory along Cooper Foster Park Road. An employee at the store told FOX 8 News that no guns were taken.

Just a half-hour later, the Transform and Renew Arms store was broken in to.

In Elyria, the sheriff’s office is also investigating a break-in reported at Rural King Guns on Oberlin Road at 4:51 a.m. A minute later, a second alarm went off at the store’s gun desk. Deputies arrived minutes later with Elyria police and found the front door had been forced open. They didn’t find any suspects inside.

Surveillance camera footage showed three people wearing face coverings and dark-colored clothing entered the store, but were unable to access any of the guns. They then left immediately.
