A New Photo of Kate Middleton at a Private Engagement Was Just Released by the Palace

Kensington Palace released a surprise yesterday after the Duchess of Cambridge wrapped her visit at London's Sunshine House Children and Young People's Development Centre. The Palace posted a new photo of Kate Middleton from a private engagement she had.

"The Duchess, Ben from @The_RHS and George Hassall joined the judging panel to pick out the winning entry for @CBBC's #BluePeter competition, which The Duchess launched back in June," Kensington Palace captioned the shot. Kate is wearing a pink print LK Bennett dress in it. She wore the look at the polo match she attended with her children and Meghan Markle and baby Archie back in July. (The Palace didn't specify the exact date the Blue Peter judging photo was taken, so it could have been the same day.)

Kate met with the winner of the competition, Jessica, during her RHS Wisley event last week:

At the RHS Wisley event, Kate's first event of the fall, the Duchess made a speech touching on her work advocating for children's mental health.

"The experience we gain during our earliest years influences who we become as people," she said. "They influence how we interact in school, at work, and in society, and ultimately, how we bring up our own children."

"As a parent, I’ve learned just how important it is to foster our child’s development in all areas, not just physical, as soon as they’re born," she added later. "We build the blocks, the foundations for future success and happiness later in their lives."
