Photo story: Another Kewanee Hog Days in the books
The sun shone down hot on Saturday’s parade attendees, and rain fell late Saturday afternoon and into the evening, washing out the live entertainment scheduled for the main stage.
But even the cloud-covered weekend didn’t stop festival goers from enjoying the carnival and its food offerings, the annual flea market at West Park or the Kewanee Hog Days pork barbeque.
The parade winners for Saturday’s themed-parade of “Never Can Say Goodbye” included the Ambassador Cup winner, Peoples National Bank of Kewanee; the Commercial award winner was given to Petersen Healthcare; Not-For-Profit award went to the YMCA; Most Original award went to State Bank of Toulon, and the Katie Johnson Spirit Award was given to Bakersville.
