PHOTOS: Border walls around the world

Yahoo Canada conducted a survey this month on whether the U.S. should build a border wall with Mexico. We received an overwhelming response, with 59 per cent of readers voting “Yes”. U.S. President Donald Trump’s bid for wall funding led him to shut down the government for a record period of time, and is ongoing.

According to research by Professor Elizabeth Vallet at the University of Montreal, there are 70 walls or fences around the world built by governments, and another seven that are planned but haven’t been constructed.
