BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A Baton Rouge home that is a few miles away from LSU’s Tiger Stadium is listed for $2,889,000. The 7,698-square-foot home at 6020 Highland Road has five bedrooms and five bathrooms.
The Zillow listing describes the property as a “French Creole style home has more than 7,600 square feet of luxury living area and takes full advantage of its lofty location above the bayou. The home sits on 8.3 acres and is shaded by century-old Live Oaks.
Glenda Pollard of Pollard Partners Realtors said the “oldest part of the house is the left side (when facing the home). When we removed the porch to replace it, you could see the old steps on the far left.”
According to Pollard, the house is part of University Acres. The house has also seen remodeling over its history including the kitchen and den being remodeled, the garage being made into a schoolroom, a second garage being added, and the sunroom being enclosed.
