New York Comic Con kicked off on Thursday at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan. This annual fan convention is dedicated to comic arts, science fiction, horror, manga, games and pop culture. There are 1,327 exhibitors participating in this year’s four days convention, with 1,202 panels and screening scheduled through Sunday. Last year’s convention drew 151,000 unique attendees, tickets for this year’s events were sold out months ahead.
