The Flying Scotsman Back On The Tracks After £4 Million Restoration

One of the world’s best known locomotives, The Flying Scotsman is back on the rails today after a £4.2million refurbishment. The engine, which retired in 1963, is travelling from London King’s Cross to York, where it will go on display at the National Railway Museum. Lucky passengers on board for the journey will enjoy a Champagne breakfast as they chug up the East Coast mainline, arriving at their destination this afternoon.
