Physical therapy coming to Holland Aquatic Center

HOLLAND — The Center for Physical Rehabilitation and Therapy has announced it'll soon open another location, this one inside Holland Aquatic Center.

The location will be the company’s first in Holland, a 2,474-square-foot clinic expected to open Monday, Oct. 2. It'll use dry land clinic space and an adjacent therapy pool.

“This partnership aligns perfectly with our mission to inspire health and vitality in the Holland area,” said Jack Huisingh, executive director of HAC. “We’re excited to help make The Center’s services convenient for lakeshore residents.”

The clinic will provide a range of outpatient physical therapy services, including orthopedic and sports medicine care under clinic manager and therapist Matt Zitny.

“(I'm) looking forward to serving the lakeshore as a healthcare resource and am proud to work alongside the HAC, (which) cares deeply about the wellness of their members and athletes,” Zitny wrote in a release.

The clinic will offer an emphasis on swimmers and throwers, along with more advanced treatments like dry needling and aqua therapy.

The location signals more growth for The Center, which expanded in March with the addition of the Sports Academy, located in Grand Rapids.

The Centers CEO Chris Nawrocki said the company has been in the market for a Holland location.

“The collaboration between our teams will provide the next level of care to the Holland region,” Nawrocki said. “We will build on what the HAC already provides by bringing a great physical therapy experience and offering cutting edge services.”

The Center has two locations in Grand Rapids, plus one each in Belmont, Byron Center, Greenville, Jenison, Kentwood, Walker and Okemos.
