Pi Day 2023 deals: Where to find discounted pizza, pie across metro Detroit
Are you hungry for a slice of pizza or a piece of pie? All around metro Detroit, pizza and pie shops are offering some tasty deals Tuesday in honor of Pi Day.
Written as the Greek letter “π,” Pi is represented in the math world as 3.14. They're the first three digits in a number which is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. The number is approximately 3.141592653.
Those first three digits, 3-14 or March 14, mark Tuesday as National Pi Day. Several metro Detroit restaurants are celebrating with Pi specials from pizza to pies such as apple or cherry.

Jet's Pizza: Known for its Detroit-style deep-dish pizzas, the Sterling Heights-based chain also has its hand-tossed round pizza. But on Pi Day all pizzas are 20% off all day long. The other is valid for one day only for pick-up and delivery using the code 314DAY. To order, go to jetspizza.com.
Plum Market: All day long on Tuesday you can get 6-inch Achatz Michigan 4 Berry or Double Crust Apple pie for $5. The offer is good only at Michigan locations while supplies last. Pies are regularly $8.99.
7-Eleven: The convenience store chain's popular Pi Day deal is on. Get a full, large pizza for $3.14 using the 7-Eleven App for 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards members at participating locations. You can choose from cheese, pepperoni, or even meat pizza varieties.
