COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – Having one bobblehead promotional night in your honor is rare, but two? It’s about as common as a double-dribble getting called in an NBA game.

But Cleveland Cavaliers fans have an opportunity to acquire not one, but two bobbleheads for shooting guard Caris LeVert, an eight-year NBA veteran and Pickerington Central High School graduate.

The Cavaliers announced that LeVert, who the team traded for in 2022, will offer two bobblehead nights during home games at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse over the next few weeks. The first will take place on Feb. 12, the second on Feb. 22.

Each night will feature a different look to the collectors’ items. The first will feature LeVert in his No. 3 Playhouse Square 2024 City Edition Uniform, with the moniker, “The Land 3” on the front. All fans in attendance will receive the bobblehead when the Cavs host the Philadelphia 76ers on Feb. 12 at 7 p.m.

The second will have LeVert’s likeness donning his Pickerington Central Tigers uniform to commemorate his high school achievements. The team said that a limited number of special edition throwback LeVert bobbleheads will be available as part of an exclusive single-game ticket package.

Fans purchasing tickets to the Feb. 22 game against the Orlando Magic at 7 p.m. can use the promotion code LEVERTBOBBLE during checkout to receive the special edition souvenir.

LeVert, a 6-foot-7 guard, helped the Tigers win the OHSAA Division I state championship during his senior season in 2012, leading the team to a 26-2 record. He earned second-team all-state, first-team all-district and Ohio Capital Conference, Ohio Division Player of the Year honors that season, before a four-year college career at Michigan.

With the Wolverines, LeVert received minimal playing time his freshman year, but started 69 games over the next three seasons, the final two of which were hampered by injuries. Nevertheless, he averaged 14.77 points per game between his sophomore and senior seasons and was selected 20th overall by the Brooklyn Nets in the 2016 NBA Draft.

LeVert played four-plus seasons with the Nets and averaged over 18 points per game in his final two seasons with the team before being traded to the Indiana Pacers. The Pacers, with whom LeVert started all 74 games played while averaging 19.7 points per game, dealt him to his home state in 2022.

This season with the Cavs, LeVert ranks third among all NBA reserves in points (15.4), fifth in assists (4.1) and sixth in steals (1.1) and he’s the only reserve in the league to average over 15 points, three rebounds, three assists and one steal.
