In a vote that ended Jan. 21, Dispatch.com readers selected the Athlete of the Week for competitions that took place from Jan. 10-16.
This week's winner is Pickerington North bowler Jacob Neubauer.
Neubauer bowled a 516 series as his team set a school record with 2,609.
Neubauer received 51.6% of the vote and was followed by Westerville Central bowler Kyle Richardson, who received 35.6%, Columbus Academy basketball player Sophie Spolter (8.7%) and Licking Heights basketball player Dante Collier (2.7%).
Richardson, the runner-up, bowled a 300 at the Buckeye Classic. Spolter passed the 1,000 career points milestone in a 42-40 loss to Fisher Catholic.. Collier scored 27 points in a 80-47 win over Watkins Memorial..

The Athlete of the Week voting recognizes athletes across all sports.
Nominations are due Monday mornings for competitions that took place the previous week.

Once athletes win during the regular season, they're not eligible to be back on the ballot until the postseason. Athletes who have not been a recipient of one of the weekly awards can be nominated more than once.
