Pickleball tournament supporting Beginnings Care for Life pregnancy center

COLDWATER TWP. — The Beginnings Care for Life Pickleball Tournament drew 33 teams and 59 players to the courts in Coldwater Township.

Joe Hayes with Logan Miller, organized the fourth annual event again this year. Players stopped to thank Hayes for the well run tournament.

People come to play and like everything to flow smoothly and efficiently, said Jane Ford, director of Beginnings Care for Life.

She has found the pickleball community to be welcoming and encouraging to those just discovering the sport. Once they are in a game they want to win, Ford said, but are very open and friendly.

Major sponsors were Edward Jones-Jay Wright, EAB Fabrication, Warner Oil. Matthew Christopher, DDS, Lone Creek Controls and Union Pallet.

It is just a fun event, Ford said, and thanked sponsors and players.
