Courteney Cox makes rare red carpet appearance with daughter Coco

From Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson to Cindy Crawford and Kaia Gerber and Gwyneth Paltrow and Apple Martin, famous mother-daughter duos have long been on our red carpet radar, with many accompanying their mums to A-list events.

Just this week Courteney Cox made a rare public appearance with her teenage daughter Coco Arquette, who she shares with ex-partner David Arquette.

The former Friends star, 58, took Coco, 18, as her date to the world premiere of her new film Scream VI in New York on Monday night.

In a sweet display of affection Cox held the hand of her daughter as the pair posed for pictures on the red carpet.

While the actor kept it simple yet chic in a black minidress with a velvet blazer and stiletto heels, Coco went glam in a fiery red dress with a gathered corset bodice and flared skirt.

She accessorised the look with open-toed black block heels.

Even though the mother and daughter duo are rarely seen together in public, it is the second time they have attended an A-list event together within a week, with Coco also accompanying her mother to the ceremony to celebrate the receiving of her Hollywood Walk of Fame star.

Coco Arquette isn't the only star daughter making a headline appearance recently. Just last month Paltrow's 18-year-old daughter, who she shares with ex-husband Chris Martin, was spotted at the Chanel show at Paris Fashion Week.

Fashion journalist Derek Blasberg later tweeted about Apple’s appearance at the show, writing: “Karl Lagerfeld met Apple Martin when she was four years old and declared that one day she’d be a Chanel girl. It happened today!”

Only time will tell whether Apple will follow in her mother's showbiz footsteps, like many other celebrity offspring do. This includes Melanie Griffith’s daughter Dakota Johnson who rose to international fame with the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy. Meanwhile, Jada Pinkett-Smith’s daughter, Willow Smith, is a Chanel muse and Uma Thurman’s daughter, Maya Thurman-Hawke, starred in the 2017 remake of Little Women and the third season of Stranger Things.

Ava Phillippe has also hit headlines on numerous occasions thanks to her multiple red carpet appearances with her lookalike mother, Reese Witherspoon.
