Pierce County Announces Additional Free Coronavirus Testing
BONNEY LAKE, WA — Over the past month the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department and county leadership have been teaming up for a series of free testing events across Pierce County. Now, events have been so successful, they're expanding the program and hosting even more free testing in August.
The county says everyone is invited to stop by and get tested, but they're especially encouraging anyone who:
Has experienced coronavirus symptom like fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle pains or headaches, loss of taste or smell, stuffy nose, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.
Has been near someone who was diagnosed with COVID-19 or were in a large gathering of people.
Is at high-risk for the virus, including the elderly or those with related respiratory illnesses.

All events will allow for both walk up or drive thru testing, except for Ruston's which is walk up only.
The county says the tests are completely free and identification is not required. Once a patient is tested, results will be available in five to seven days.
