Pike County keeps two incumbent GOP commissioners, chooses new Democrat

Pike County voters re-elected Republican commissioners Matthew Osterberg and Ronald Schmalzle and replaced R. Anthony Waldron with Christa Caceres on the Democratic side.

Osterberg led the way with 6,903 votes. Schmalzle had 6,319 and Caceres 5,172. Waldron received 4,232.

The results are unofficial and include Election Day and mail-in and absentee ballots for all precincts. These totals do not reflect provisional ballots.

Races for other county positions were uncontested. Here are the results:

  • District attorney: Raymond Tonkin (R), incumbent, 9,061 votes

  • Treasurer: John Gilpin (R), incumbent, 9,049 votes

  • Prothonotary and clerk of courts: Yvonne Merrill (R), 9,047 votes

  • Recorder of deeds and register of wills: Sharon Schroeder (R), incumbent, 9,146 votes

  • Auditors: Gail Sebring (R), 6,909 votes; Thomas Foran (R), 6,287; Judy Leary-Wagner (D), 5,562; all incumbents

  • Coroner: Chris Brighton (R), incumbent, 9,260 votes
