Pilot program at Baltimore Convention Center to vaccinate vulnerable populations

The Baltimore Convention Center Field Hospital COVID-19 mass vaccination site will focus entirely on prioritizing underserved populations for vaccinations as part of a pilot program, the governor's office announced Monday. Leadership of the convention center site worked with hospital-based community health teams to encourage eligible people who live in high-vulnerability ZIP codes to register for vaccination. The effort used a custom algorithm to ensure that more than 40% of eligible recipients were Baltimore City residents, prioritizing individuals in vulnerable communities first, according to the governor's office.
