Pinal County Sheriff's Office searching for 2 men suspected of burglary, ramming deputies' vehicles

The Pinal County Sheriff's Office is searching for two men suspected of burglary who they say rammed deputies' vehicles Wednesday morning near Desert Hills Road, south of Florence.

Around 3 a.m., deputies responded to a burglary in progress and found the suspected robbers trying to leave in a car. The car rammed two deputies' vehicles, according to a PCSO statement.

One deputy fired at them, the statement said. It is unclear if anyone was hurt.

Both men ran away and hadn't been found as of Wednesday around 6:40 a.m. They are considered armed and dangerous, the PCSO said in the statement.

One man was described as having long curly hair and facial hair. He was wearing glasses, a dark-colored cap and jeans, according to the PCSO.

The other man appeared bald and was wearing jeans and a long sleeve t-shirt with writing on the back, authorities said. He was later identified by authorities as 61-year-old Michael Anthony.

People are asked to report suspicious activity at 520-866-5111 and to call 911 in an emergency.
