A Pineville motorcyclist died Tuesday in a crash on MacArthur Drive in Alexandria, according to police.

A Pineville motorcyclist died Tuesday in a crash on MacArthur Drive in Alexandria, according to police.

Justin Dickerson, 25, died at the scene of the wreck, reads a news release from the Alexandria Police Department.

Officers responded to the wreck in the area of MacArthur Drive and Coliseum Boulevard on Tuesday night. According to the release, an accident reconstructionist was sent to the scene about 9:35 p.m.

Dickerson had been driving a 2003 Kawasaki Sports Bike when it became involved in a crash with the driver of a 2015 Honda Accord. The release does not include any details of how the wreck happened.

An investigation is continuing.
