It seems like Meghan Markle and Prince Harry can't catch a break from public shaming. Luckily, they have a lot of famous friends and fans coming to their defense. Yesterday, it was Elton John defending the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s usage of his private plane. Today, it's singer Pink standing up for the royal couple by calling for "kindness."

Last night, Pink took to twitter to praise those who called out the media critics for their treatment towards Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. She also criticized those who shamed Meghan Markle, calling it "the most public form of bullying" she had seen in a while.

"I’m happy to see people coming to the defense of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex," she wrote. "The way people treat her is the most public form of bullying I have seen in a while. It’s out of control. Let’s all be a bit kinder, huh? Let’s show our children that it’s cool to be kind."

According to CNN, the couple has received backlash several times due to their usage of private jets, being called "hypocrites" because their actions contradict their public stance on environmental footprints. They've also been criticized over how they carry baby Archie and their birthday wishes to their nephew, Prince George.

Many fans praised Pink for supporting the royal couple. One person wrote: "Well said, Pink! Thank you for adding your voice to speak up against what some think/say 'comes with the territory.' It’s never ok to bully anyone. Rich or not, famous or not! Thank you!"

Many, however, criticized the singer for standing up for the couple, claiming that the Royal Family should not be living such a luxurious life because they are tax-funded by the people.

This isn’t the first time that the singer has come to the defense of other celebrities. A couple of week ago, Pink dyed her 8-year-old daughter’s hair in support of Jessica Simpson, who was criticized for dyeing her own daughter’s hair.
