Pink Lotus Salon and Day Spa officially open with ribbon cutting

CHILLICOTHE — Rain clouds and cold weather didn't stop the recent open house and ribbon cutting of the newest place to pamper yourself in Ross County, the Pink Lotus Salon and Day Spa. The spa offers hair services, including cuts, coloring and perms, nail services including pedicures, and an esthetician.

The spa, located in the country, came to fruition after owner Brooke Cheatham-McAbee realized during the pandemic that she had been putting her dreams on hold.

"I always wanted to own my own salon and spa," said Cheatham-McAbee.

So, she decided to get to work making her own space to practice. The fully licensed salon offers a homey, calming, environment to the customer. This environment helps Cheatham-McAbee better connect with her clients, who she calls her family.

The salon and spa are located on the outskirts of Chillicothe in the country. Cheatham-McAbee said she sold her house in the city to move to a more rural location because being in nature helped her relax more. She hopes that customers will feel the same way and that the drive to the business will bring them peace. She believes that being in such a peaceful location will have customers leaving the salon feeling beautiful on the outside as well as on the inside.

"I think people will find peace here," said Cheatham-McAbee.

A ribbon cutting and open house were recently held to celebrate this opening. During the ribbon cutting Cheatham-McAbee said she had been working hard on the space and was excited to have people come and see it.

Bobbi Kellough from the Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce said she was "super excited" to be able to support all of the businesses in Ross County, not just the ones in Chillicothe. She said it is great seeing the county grow and gain new businesses like the salon.
