Temperatures will be locked in the upper 50s to low 60s today as clouds and rain dominate throughout the day. The heaviest rain will impact your late morning commute before easing up around lunch time.

A second round of heavy rain and isolated storms will return this afternoon and evening before tapering off overnight. This batch will have the potential of delivering isolated flood warnings and damaging winds before this evening.

We have a number of watches & advisories in place due to the impacts this low pressure system will bring to the Carolinas before tracking to the northeast. Look for a Flood Watch to be in effect for Mecklenburg County and Counties south of I-85 all day into this evening.

We’ll also hold on to a wind Advisory for the foothills of North Carolina while a High Wind Warning takes effect for our higher elevations starting overnight and lasting until Tuesday afternoon.

Temperatures will dip into the mid-40s overnight under mostly cloudy skies. Tuesday will usher in the return of some sunshine as temperatures rebound into the upper 50s. We’ll be dry through most of the week as highs hover in the upper 50s to low 60s.

Look for spotty showers and slightly above normal temperatures to settle in heading into the weekend.

Today: Mostly Cloudy & Rainy With the Potential for Severe Weather. High: 60.

Tonight: Mostly Cloudy & Cool. Low: 44.
