Pinpoint Weather: Heavy rain moves in

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – A Flood Watch is in effect for Greenbriar and Pocahontas Counties through early Friday morning as heavy rain is possible.

Steady rain will move in overnight and continue through the first half of the day on Thursday. Another round of potentially heavy rain is expected Thursday night into early Friday.

Rain chances will continue through the end of the week and the weekend. Most regions will not see a flood threat. Through Sunday, one to two inches of rain is expected.

Warm air will continue to move into the region with many areas rising into the 60s on Thursday.

Warm air sticks around for Friday with temperatures falling back into the 50s for the weekend and 40s next week.
