Pinpoint Weather: Rain and warmth to end the week

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Wet weather will continue into the day on Friday. Steady showers early Friday will give way to hit-or-miss showers during the day.

Additional rounds of rain could lead to isolated flooding in the Highlands where snow melt and rain could pose some localized problems. A Flood Watch is in effect for Pocahontas County into early Friday.

Additional rounds of rain are expected Saturday with spotty showers for Sunday. Additional rainfall up to an inch, with isolated two-inch areas in the south, is possible.

Temperatures will remain well above average for Friday with highs in the 60s and 70s.

A cold front moves through on Friday which will knock temperatures down for the weekend. Another cold front moves in on Sunday. It will bring the rain to an end but knock temperatures down more.
