ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – High pressure remains in control of our weather which will allow sunshine to return again on Wednesday.
With light northerly winds continuing, temperatures on Wednesday will return to the 40s and 50s for highs after starting in the 20s.
Dry conditions will continue through Thursday before the chance for showers returns Friday evening. Off-and-on showers are possible Saturday afternoon through midday Sunday and then again on Monday. Half an inch to one inch of rain is expected with locally higher amounts.
Even with rain approaching, temperatures will continue to rise. High temperatures will return to the 60s starting Thursday. Cooler air will move in as the rain moves out next week.
