'Pioneer Woman' Ree Drummond’s Daughter Alex Is Now Engaged To Her College Sweetheart
The Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond shared some exciting news this weekend: Her eldest daughter Alex is engaged.
Ree shared a sweet photo announcing the news that Alex, 23, got engaged to her boyfriend, Mauricio Scott, whom Alex met during her freshman year at Texas A&M University. The proud mom shared a photo of the two just after the proposal with the caption: "These two are gonna have so much fun together. We love you, Alex and Mauricio!"

Ree also shared the full story of the proposal in a post for The Pioneer Woman Magazine where she explained the proposal was a total surprise. Mauricio told Alex they were actually going to his stepmom's birthday party and needed to kill some time at the Nasher Sculpture Center only to get down on one knee and propose. You can read the post to get the full story from the proud mom's perspective and, trust me, you'll need some tissues.
Of course, Alex also posted her share of adorable photos on her Instagram and Instagram Stories Saturday and Sunday, including one of her future husband down on one knee. It seems she was still in shock because she began her caption with "Still waiting for someone to pinch me??!?!"

Following his proposal, the pair had a celebration with family and friends where they drank champagne and posed for photos in front of a floral wall with "The Scotts" on it. Well, Ree really put it best at the end of her post: "Love is beautiful. Congratulations, Alex and Mauricio!"
