Pirates Player Tests Positive For Coronavirus
PITTSBURGH, PA — Pirates outfielder Gregory Polanco has tested positive for COVID-19, manager Derek Shelton told reporters covering the team on Friday. Polanco, who has not participated in the team's second phase of spring training, gave his consent to release the information.
Polanco, the team's starting right fielder, is attempting to bounce back in the upcoming shortened season after two injury-plagued years.
