Pitbull is coming to the AMP. Here's how to get tickets

In the words of Pitbull, "it's about to go down" when he takes the stage at the Amica Mutual Pavilion.

The Grammy-winning superstar is coming to Rhode Island to perform on Friday, May 26 at 8 p.m. The "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)" singer returned to touring last year with his sold-out "Can't Stop Us Now" tour.

This will be the Pop-Latin artist's first time performing at the AMP, but not his first time performing in the state. The last show he did in Rhode Island was at The Strand in 2009.

Why is Pitbull coming to AMP

The Amica Mutual Pavilion is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

Since it first opened on January 17, 1973, the Providence Civic Center has held over 7,000 events which equated to over 38 million guests coming through the door, according to the release. To mark the occasion, AMP partnered with Rhode Island Concert promoter Frank Russo to get a big act - and that was Pitbull.
