Hip-hop superstar Pitbull is coming back to the California Mid-State Fair for a third time this summer.
The Grammy Award-winning rapper known as Mr. Worldwide will perform Wednesday, July 26, at the Chumash Grandstand Arena at the Paso Robles Event Center as part of the Michelob Ultra Concert Series presented by Visit SLO CAL, fair officials announced Tuesday in a news release.
Pitbull, whose hits include “Don’t Stop the Party,” “Give Me Everything” and “Timber,” previously played the Paso Robles fair in 2015 and 2018.
Tickets for Pitbull’s concert cost $35 to $125 and go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. on the fair’s official website, midstatefair.com.
Pitbull wasn’t the only new fair act announced Tuesday.
Rock star Sammy Hagar will take the stage at the Chumash Grandstand Arena on Friday, July 21, fair officials said.
Acclaimed for his solo career as well as his stint as the front man of legendary band Van Halen, the Red Rocker is known for songs including “I Can’t Drive 55,” “Right Now” and “Why Can’t This Be Love.”
The Grammy winner was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Van Halen in 2007.
Tickets for Hagar’s show cost $50 to $125 and go on sale Friday starting at 10 a.m. on the fair’s website.
Opening acts for Pitbull and Hagar will be “confirmed at a later date,” the release said.
Other big-name music acts coming to the Mid-State Fair this year include Tim McGraw, Luke Bryan, Lauren Daigle, Parker McCollum and Los Tucanes De Tijuana. The fair’s popular Evening of Music and Wine event will feature Styx.
The California Mid-State Fair runs July 19-30 at the Paso Robles Event Center.
This year’s theme is “Shake, Rattle & Roll!”
