Skylar Astin will be “suddenly, Seymour” when he returns to his theatrical roots.

The “Pitch Perfect” star is heading back to the stage for his next role, as Seymour Krelborn in the Off-Broadway revival of “Little Shop of Horrors,” currently playing at the Westside Theatre.

Astin, 34, will take over the role from “How to Get Away with Murder” star Conrad Ricamora, who finishes his run May 15 in the Michael Mayer-directed production.

Starting May 17, the native New Yorker will portray the lowly flower shop worker who discovers that his exotic plant blossoms when fed human blood.

“Little Shop of Horrors” was a hit Off-Broadway in 1982 before being adapted into a hugely popular 1986 film starring Rick Moranis, Ellen Green, Vincent Gardenia, Steve Martin, Levi Stubbs (of The Four Tops) and a string of guest appearances.

The new production, which opened to rave reviews in the fall of 2019, marks a return to form for Astin, who was most recently seen on the latest season of “Grey’s Anatomy,” and NBC’s short-lived “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist.”

The Tisch School of the Arts alum has a career breakthrough starring in the original Off-Broadway and 2006 Broadway transfer of the eight-time Tony Award-winning musical “Spring Awakening.”
