Los Angeles Dodgers

After taking two of three in last week’s series in Phoenix, the Dodgers are now 11-3 against the Diamondbacks this year. The Diamondbacks, though, did win the series finale, 5-3, to snap a 10-game losing streak against Los Angeles. In that series, the Dodgers clinched the NL West, leaving them with little to play for in this week’s five game set, which includes a Tuesday doubleheader that was re-scheduled from the lockout-canceled early season series. Entering play Sunday, the Dodgers were eight games up on the Mets for the top seed in the National League playoffs.
